I saw these pictures of my grandfathers funeral years ago. They wrapped his body in white sheets. Wood surrounded below and above him until you couldn't see the white sheets anymore. And then it was lit. People kept the fire going for about 3 days, continually fueling it until there was only ashes.

I think that thats beautiful. I want to die in heat and the night. I don't want to have a service. I'd rather someone sneak my ashes to the sea and lit some fireworks. I'm not sure I want to be remembered. I'd take anonymity any day.
